Industry challenge:
Often breeders and primary producers are reliant on a third party to confirm a cattle pregnancy and for breeders running tight calving programs, this can impact certain aspects of herd productivity and profitability. For example, the decision to promptly resynchronise and join empty cows, whether to sell herd stock and where to allocate high quality pastures.
ART Lab Solutions enables cattle breeders and primary producers to better manage their breeding programs through utilising non-invasive technology that detects a cattle pregnancy early during gestation. This technology can be used by any producer or farmhand.
In 2023 there was a record 28.8M cattle in Australia. The cattle industry is one of Australia's largest agricultural sectors. Australia is a leading exporter of beef and live cattle, with major markets in Asia, the Middle East, and the United States.
Current opportunity:
We are seeking investment to assist in further product development; improving the sensitivity and ergonomics of our existing prototypes, hiring the expert personnel to expedite the product launch.
We are currently undertaking data trials in beef cattle, anticipating a product launch of December 2025.
We are seeking early adopters (breeders/primary producers) of the technology who are excited by new innovations and looking to participate and collaborate with is. If you are breeding beef or dairy cows, we want to hear from you!

Opportunity background:
ART Lab Solutions has achieved a minimum viable product (TRL5) in dairy cows and currently looking to apply this technology to the beef sector. The benefits of utilising our non-invasive technology to detect a cattle pregnancy means efficient decision making in breeding programs, a hassle free application and cost effective for the breeders/primary producers.
Originally invented for the human medical industry, this technology was developed by researchers at the University of California Davis in which the technology is currently patent pending with jurisdictions in the US, AU and EU.
Potential other applications:
Following successful product launch in the cattle industry we endeavour to apply this technology to other livestock; horse, sheep, pigs, goats.
